ok so we seeking parts for 4-108 block that no one saw fit to imprint numerals into. all we have is forge drop numbers. could be interesting….
i have `pix of engine from original install in 2009 and i have pix as we uninstalled it for rebuild after the runaway and seizing.
so all 4 sleeves..dry ones for 108, and rings and alladat tekkie piston centered stuff have to be done so engine is uniform and perfect…..this is interestinger and interestinger…still do able…just need parts..might have to special make em using dimensions only or find em using dimensions only…. nothing worth doing is ever easy, ye know that…….
hee hee hee mechanic is awesome … he found the very very lightly imprinted numbers no one else could find…..lol
Ok- that I can do from here , I need to find a friend who speaks Perkins diesel.
Will send e-mail if you dropped my personal one overboard when bubba fell in.
Cheers -I day at a time , I step at a time
Remember Rule 62 in the big book?

only numerals on my block are the forge drop date numerals…..nothing indented or on a placque.

my manual also showed where to find number. however, the numbers are not visible. at all.
my mechanic , not the machinist, but my mechanic, found them when he went over the engine block with a magnifying glass and found it where it didnt belong. and so it goes.. we have parts on order, and we are going to have engine in may sometime. whew…
however, there are engines sin numerals, as a sales person at a parts house for diesels did let me know, as we thought mine hadnt any when i placed my call.
