Hello, I’m new here in the forum and would like to ask you something about a Ta Chiao 42 from 1978.
First, but sorry for my bad English.
I will look at the yacht and I would like to ask you if there is something special in this yacht I should look at.
The yacht has a Yanmar engine with 85ps, teak deck and wood mast.
The engine has 700 operating hours. That’s good, I think.
Is there something to look for?
Greetings from Germany
decks for soundness, overhead beams for delamination, mast steps for integrity, battery containment should be at least fiberglassed, but can be done after purchase. good boats. my neighbor has one. built in ta chiao yard, mine was built in formosa boat builders yard in taiwan. well built and solid heavy cruisers. check bulkhead tabbing, it canbe redone post purchase.. all issues are fixable reasonably. beautiful boats
