we met a crew potential….even agree with many ideas and team decent.
bubba only tried occasionally to shred him, but stopped after introductions were formalized. good kitty.
usually we get an amazing sensation of fail after meeting new potential crew– this didnt leave that taste, but a different one i cannot identify.
would be fun to sail with this one, and we do get along and….
no, i aint rattin meself out, as folks might actually READ this stuff… rodlmffao.
and dont want to jinx anything.
is all in the whites iof the eyes, and when seen, and such….
in meantime, i wont hold breath, but continue towards my main goal–sailing a decent boat lol.. ye know this wasnt that when i started out.. is my work and hire out work that has made it this far, and the work to be done is still much.
but we gettin there.
btw–if the crew thing doesnt work out. we dont stop, but keep on keepin on.
it will just take a lil longer, but we still going.
priority–motor mounts asap. then align engine then add new or modify packing gland….then, when hauled i need to replace the cutlass bearing….more fun daily–is a boat, after all—and this place is soooo awesome. we only have swells when a frente frio advances thru here, not usually in winter–is always perfect weather here.
meouwry treesmas and happy mew yearz to all…..holiday season is here and i hope all have happy times this and every year to come.
has again been updated for 2013…thankyou for following us..

ok we finally made zihuat–is gorgeous here and so far, todo son sympticos y friendly… still to check into port..anchored in middle of bay , all by myself– we made it here with only one ounce of fuel in bucket used to pick up all fuel. whew….we drifted a LOT!!!
spot tracked up when i remembered to punch it…have yet to read emails and fb notes—bless this workd–life rocks…..
sailed to barra de navidad via la manzanilla–we had some difficulties–nothing serious—i chose a mechanical genius for a crew. karma
barra de navidad is a beautiful locale with options of either panga rides for shore time, or takin g ones own dinghy to the dock/landings.
2011 hurricane jova did some damage to this town– there is much scarring of the local businesses from seas and winds. isi a cute lil town with lovely folks, as has most of mexico.
we are sailing in lack of wind season–engine is having some finnessing while in progress–air leakage happens in any engine, especially those havin g stood unused for a specified time span.
we have experienced some decent breezes in afternoons with minimal winds morning and evening. moskitos here are most healthy and hungry. they do bite hard.
hello to all—please see spot , the tracking post here for my location…
to the cyberbully who insists on finding fault with my life— go find one of your own, bergy. just because you forgot to leave your self out of your new life in fla doesnt mean you can berate others.
to the good folks who read and respond here—we modded the packing gland pending replacement when i can find one for this boat–it will be fabricated from bronze when i find a fab artist who uses bronze. until that time, what i am using will work for a bit, yet
later this week i will have it in place for departure–
momma–i will have an address for ye!!!!!!
fix packing gland here or in mazatlan—threads are vanishing–it used to be threaded–now is kinda not anymore–we have 2 wraps only for tightening–oops–so a sheath has been made to contain the unit– and affixed well….hose clamps rock–so we search for either a fab shop to make a bronze fitting, or we find one for waaay too much dough — in water vs out of water–if in water–i want someone to make sure the bilge pumps are in use well during the escapade….
sail to mazatlan and fix out of water vs remaining here—-to haul and paint there isnt bad money. anchoring out i can save the amount e very month i pay in rents in this marina, so i will be able to save for it–can get it done by summer time—
btw–the wax isnt there anymore–is now a bit of yellow fender made into a sleeve with hose clamps on to hold it together….i was riiiiiight……lol….
i have some friends here in la cruz–some cruising friends. some of her friends came into town and she went to play. he stayed home, as he is a home body, kinda–lovely couple–awesome folks…
he called on radio at 2300 ish– couldnt reach her. he then called me. i answered and he asked for my presence on their boat. i went. his voice sounded strange.
i got there– entered boat–he was talking to me–found him down. on the cabin sole.
i prepared him for incoming strangers and called on radio emergency –he was alert and responsive and having evolving symptoms. except he had pain on the affected side–unusual for stroke.
he was transported to a vallarta hospital. i went to find his wife and advised her of her husbands illness and transport to XXX hospital. she went with her friends to the hospital.
she called me at 0430 when she returned to her home–her boat–and radioed me that he was in ct scan when the mds and techs saw and watched his aneyurysm go thru changes resulting in rupture–they fetched her and the two spent his last moments with each other.
i am very glad i listened to my inner feelings telling me to find her.
i promised her i will remain in la cruz until she is able to figger out what she is gonna do.. she has a lot to deal with now.
rip, friend-watch over your lady fair… she will need guidance from you.
